Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2024

A total of 446 local challengers were encouraged and crowned as Mr. and Ms. Super Thousand in Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2024.

After a five-year hiatus, the Leaders Cup returned with Mr Paul Chan Mo-po, Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region joining as guest runner for the 2km fun race.
The Wheelchair Race also saw some exciting competition.
In the Men's Marathon Seroi Anderson Saitoti from Kenya became the first to race home in a winning time of 2:12:50.
Medina Armino from Ethiopia secured the top spot in the Women's Marathon in a time of 2:28:47.
Intense Asian Marathon Championships competition saw Man Singh from India take the winner's tape with a time of 2:14:19, with Galbadrakh Khishigsaikhan from Mongolia taking the Women's title with a time of 2:33:50.

The Leaders Cup started from Wan Chai Sports Ground and finished in Victoria Park alongside other races. First across the finish taking top honours was Mr. Joe Ngai, Chairman, Greater China, Mckinsey & Company. He was closely followed by runners-up Mr Douglas Woo, Chairman & Managing Director of Wheelock and Company Limited in second place and Mr Ng Kok-siong, Executive Director & Chief Financial Officer of Link Asset Management Limited in third spot.
This year, the newly introduced Legends Cup was awarded to recognise those energetic senior runners. The award was shared among Mr Paul Chan Mo-po, Financial Secretary (middle), Dr Allan Zeman, Chairman of Lan Kwai Fong Group (second left), Dr Bunny Chan Chung-bun, Chairman of Prospectful Holdings Limited (second right), Mr Edward Cheng, Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive of Wing Tai Properties Limited (third left), and Mr Peter Woo Kwong-ching, Group Chairman of World International Capital Group (third right).
In the Half Marathon, Chinese runner Sun Xiaoyang won the Men's division with a finish time of 1:08:05.
In the Half Marathon, women's race winner Choi Yan Yin from Hong Kong completing the course in a time of 1:21:01.
Chen Yu Fan beat out the competition in the Men's 10km race with a winning time of 0:30:58.
Tsang Hiu Tung took the winners tape in the Women's 10km race in 0:36:46.
