WXV Global Series will feature the world's best 18 teams in a fixture schedule with over 100 matches from 2026 to 2028. WXV Global Series Challenger is a single-destination tournament featuring women's 15s rugby teams who are ranked from 13th to 17th in the world, including Hong Kong China.

Fiji, the Netherlands, Samoa, Spain, and Brazil (who qualified through competing in the Women's Rugby World Cup 2025) are welcomed to Hong Kong for a festival of rugby comprising nine matches spread over three weekends.

Results on the WXV Global Series will help shape the qualification pathway to the Women's Rugby World Cup 2029 in Australia, with Hong Kong China hoping to return to the biggest stage in world rugby, which they appeared on at the Women's World Cup 2017 in Ireland.
