BACKGROUND

HKGX 2025 IBF World Championships will be held at Top Bowl in Kai Tak Sports Park from November 24 to December 5, 2025. The event is organized by the International Bowling Federation (IBF) and Hong Kong China Tenpin Bowling Congress (HKCTBC).

HKGX 2025 IBF World Championships is an official world championship held every two years, with teams participating from the five Zones under IBF: Africa, America, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. This event is only open to those men teams and women teams who had gone through a qualification in their own zone. 27 IBF member federations send a men team of 6 male athletes and 23 IBF member federations send a women team of 6 female athletes, totaling 30 countries and regions to participate in the championships. They will compete in the Singles, Doubles, Trios and Team of five events in respective Men and Women Division.

On December 4 and 5, two lanes will be installed in the Queen Elizabeth Stadium for the Trios and Team of Five Semifinals and Finals. The stadium can accommodate around 1,500 spectators allowing more citizens to watch and enjoy the exciting competition free of charge.
