The Hong Kong, China Tenpin Bowling Congress (HKCTBC) will host the international "IBF Para World Championships" from January 17-24, 2025, at the new bowling venue in Kai Tak Sports Park. This will be the first world championship for disabled persons to earn the M-Mark event. About 250 athletes and 200 coaches from around 20 countries and regions across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania will compete for honors in various levels of singles, doubles, and team events.
The 7 classes for the para-athletes to compete in are:
Visually Impaired: TPB1, TPB2, TPB3
Intellectually Disabled: TPB4 - Two Divisions
-Virtus (National Team)
-Non-National Team -Special Olympic
Wheelchair: TPB8
Loss of Lower Limb: TPB9
Loss of Upper Limb: TPB10
Events consist of Singles, Doubles and Team for both men and women all classifications.
