BACKGROUND

2025 IBF World Cup will be held from January 5 to 14, 2025 in the new 40-lane bowling centre in Kai Tak Sports Park. It is also the first mega world sports event to be held at Kai Tak Sports Park. The event is organized by the International Bowling Federation (IBF) and the Hong Kong, China Tenpin Bowling Congress (HKCTBC).

The IBF World Cup is held every two years, with teams participating from the five Zones under IBF: Africa, America, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. About 35 countries and regions will respectively send 4 male and 4 female athletes, totaling approximately 280 athletes, along with around 150 team officials including coaches and medical personnels to participate in the championship. The athletes will compete in Singles and 4-players Team events for both Men and Women Division for the glory and honor of their countries and regions.

On January 14, the Men's and Women's team Semi-finals and Finals will be played on two bowling lanes set up in the Queen Elizabeth Stadium, which can accommodate around 1,500 spectators allowing more citizens to enjoy the thrilling competition.
