BACKGROUND

The Hong Kong Open, the oldest professional sports event in Hong Kong, will return once again to the picturesque Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling this October and November. 2025 marks the 64th edition of the championship, which has been granted The International Series event status for the third year in succession.

Co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and Golf Association of Hong Kong China, and with a prize purse of US$2 million, 132 of the world's top golfers will compete in the 72-hole stroke play championship.

Among the stars already confirmed to participate are: 2024 Hong Kong Open winner Patrick Reed as well as Hong Kong's very own Taichi Kho, the heroic winner of the 2023 World City Championship and the gold medalist at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou. Two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson also joins the illustrious field.

The tournament will showcase world-class golf and entertainment, with a full schedule of golf simulators and other sport games, as well as premier food and beverage offerings, art workshops, face painting and other family friendly activities in the Link Hong Kong Open Fan Village.
