BACKGROUND

Kerry World Fencing Championships 2026 Hong Kong, China will be held from 22 to 30 July 2026 at AsiaWorld-Expo. As the highest-level international fencing event outside the Olympic Games, it will bring together the world's top fencers to compete at the highest level.

In recent years, fencing in Hong Kong has grown rapidly, inspired by the outstanding achievements of Olympic champions Edgar Cheung Ka Long and Vivian Kong Man Wai, as well as World Champion Ryan Choi Chun Yin. Their success has ignited a new wave of enthusiasm for the sport.

The Championships are expected to attract participants from over 100 countries and regions, with more than 1,000 athletes and a large number of international visitors. The event will not only enhance Hong Kong's status as a premier destination for major international sporting events, but also drive growth in local sports, tourism, and the economy, further promoting the development of fencing culture in the city.
