Swimmers plunged into the water in batches and swam from the Golden Bauhinia Square Public Pier in Wan Chai to the finish at the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Leisure group swimmers were wearing tow floats, to swim across the Victoria Harbour.
