Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2019

Following the sound of air horn, marathon runners set off for their 42.195km journey in high spirits. Leaders from the business and social sectors set off their race at Wan Chai Sports Ground. Having run for more than 40km, runners barrel down the Marsh Road Flyover with no signs of tiredness. In the final section of the route, runners are heading along Hennessy Road to the finish at Victoria Park in Causeway Bay.

Volha Mazuronak of Belarus wins the overall championship of women's marathon and also smashes the record in a time of 2:26:13. Local elite runner Christy Yiu kit-Ching wins the women's half marathon in a time of 1:16:29.
Kenya's Barnabus Kiptum breaks the course record for the men's marathon and wins the overall championship.
