Hong Kong Masters

The emblematic Grand Slam Indoor of Show Jumping returns to AsiaWorld-Expo

as Longines Masters of Hong Kong takes place on 14th to 16th February 2020

Longines Masters of Hong Kong returns to AsiaWorld-Expo from 14 to 16 February 2020. Established across three continents and three iconic cities - Hong Kong, Lausanne and Paris - the Longines Masters series is one of the most prestigious equestrian events in the world. As the established Asian leg of the series, Longines Masters of Hong Kong combines heart-pounding competitition with the best of lifestyle, gastronomy and entertainment under one roof, showcasing world-class riders and show jumpers during this truly international experience.

New programming for an unforgettable experience
New to this year's event and in the same arena as Longines Masters, is the Asian Arabian Horse Show, the first of its kind in Hong Kong. As the world's oldest horse breed, Arabian horses are revered for their striking beauty, intelligence and spirited disposition. At the event, guests are able to witness one of the most popular bloodlines in the industry in a one-of-a-kind pageant circuit. In addition, children can participate in the fun yet unique Hobby Horse competition, a simulation of the gymnastic elements of real-life horseback riding that can be surprisingly competitive. The sport is quickly gaining momentum in European countries such as Finland, Sweden, Germany and Switzerland - all hotbeds for equestrian sports.

Feel the exhilarating competition vibes up close
Other main sporting events include the Longines Speed Challenge, a real Speed World Championship over three continents and the Longines Grand Prix, an Olympic-calibre event and a chance for world-ranked riders to win the Grand Slam of Show Jumping as the closest warm-up competition ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The three-day event is shaping up to offer quality live sports entertainment with world elite show jumping at the forefront while bringing VIPs, global business leaders, equestrian enthusiasts and family and friends together.
"Hong Kong represents the Asian leg of the Longines Masters season every year," says Christophe Ameeuw, Founder and President of EEM. "As EEM aims to reinvigorate the experience of live spectacle events, Longines Masters of Hong Kong enables the region to enjoy one of the world's most prestigious show jumping competitions, as well as experience the excitement of equestrian sport on a world stage."

Catch all the electrifying action inside the not to be missed Prestige Village
In addition to sports, guests can also expect jam-packed lifestyle, culinary and entertainment highlights at the Prestige Village. With extended programming such as craftsmanship workshops, food and wine tastings, live music performances, and kids fun hobby horse competition, Longines Masters of Hong Kong welcomes guests of all interests and ages.

Asia Horse Week returns as a global rendezvous for equine industry leaders
Taking place alongside Longines Masters is Asia Horse Week, the annual meeting point for the equestrian community in the region, from 13 to 16 February at AsiaWorld-Expo. The 2020 event will boast new programming to ensure each edition continues to create opportunities for fruitful knowledge exchanges between participants as well as to forge meaningful industry connections.
Asia Horse Week will bring together the sport's sharpest minds and industry leaders to share valuable insights on topics such as Arabian horse breeding, equestrian sport development, increasing awareness on Clean Sport for horses and a discussion on Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and its economic impact on the sport.
