Tickets of "M" Mark Events Application Scheme

To foster a sporting culture in Hong Kong and enhance community involvement in sports activities, organisers (i.e. national sports associations) of "M" Mark events will reserve a certain number of tickets (excluding tickets for finals) for free distribution to the less privileged groups, thereby promoting sports at the community level and giving more people the opportunity to attend major sports events.

Guide to Application:

  1. An applicant (applicant organisation) must be a non-governmental organisation (NGO) registered with the Social Welfare Department (SWD).
  2. The applicant organisation interested in obtaining tickets for an event shall return a duly completed application form to the Major Sports Events Committee Secretariat (the Secretariat) by fax or by post two months before the event or at an earlier date. For example, if the applicant organisation wishes to obtain tickets for an event to be held in August, it shall complete and return the application form to the Secretariat on or before 1 June. As the number of tickets for free distribution is limited, the allocation of such tickets will be determined by ballot in case of over-application. Late applications will not be considered.
  3. The maximum number of tickets for each applicant organisation to obtain in each "M" Mark event will be 30.
  4. The Secretariat will contact successful applicant organisations. Applicant organisations not receiving a confirmation notice from the Secretariat one month before the event may consider their applications unsuccessful.
  5. Applicant organisations shall complete all sections of the application form and provide all necessary information, or else their applications shall not be processed.
