Background of Hong Kong Squash Open
"Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Squash Open", an "M" Mark event funded by the Major Sports Events Committee, is one of the top professional squash tournaments in the world with both men's and women's competitions combined. Each year, the event attracts all the top squash professionals around the world to compete in the tournament including the current world champions.
With the spectacular setting of the portable glass court at public venues for the final matches, donated by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust; the best standard of squash performances were brought to the local citizens, and to those spectators at home via live television broadcast.
